 The depth of a human mind

Is deeper than its very being

The human mind churns and unfurls

New ideas each day

To generate inculcate and imbibe

The sprouting thoughts that 

Without knowledge, don't come easy

One has to read and read

In spite of being busy

The ideas you read amalgamate

 With your own and thus begins

A chain reaction that triggers

 New ideas and a unique thought process

That no one can assess 

so keep reading and let the chain reaction

go on

Happiness is

a unique fountain 

And its epitome  you

who can spread happiness

and in return be happy too

So be happy as you are the source

And the resource too

Happiness is within you

And it's so true

Just let it grow

unpleasant memories let go

Soak in happiness, the glistening dew

and all smile with a happy you

So be happy as sometimes it's just about YOU. 

 

My Mother..

I miss my mother

Who would sit

And rhyme

And didn't 

change with time.

For her this world

was a paradise

She loved everyone

Without thinking twice.

Surprisingly 

She couldn't distinguish

Between a friend and a foe

If ever she was

manipulated she

would never know.

She always had a smile

She read Materia Medica

With immense delight

Wonder woman

with divine light.

Her Harmonium magic,

The synchronized tunes 

And self composed hymns

A melodious voice and

Her stirring poems.

She could stitch, embroider and

Teach English, Sanskrit and Hindi

Was simple and beautiful

with her trademark Shilpa bindi.

She was just sixty two

Could have stayed on

A few days more, I love my 

Dad more for he was for us till 94

His favourite line, 'Your mother was a gem'

Parents, do take care of yourself  too

for your children  will miss you

and no one can love them 

as much as you do !
