Format of an Analytical Paragraph
Heading (concise, according to the question)
Content in 100-120 words in a Single Paragraph
The content of the paragraph must include the following:
•Introductory Sentence (explain in one or two lines the context or what is clearly evident from the chart or graph)
Paraphrase the information given in the question.
• Body of the paragraph (explain in detail the figure and trends, making comparisons and contrasts)
• Concluding line ( the overall view or summary of the chart or graph)
-stating main inference from the data provided.
-reiterating main inference/position.

Note – focusing and extending one particular
trend would be considered as one trend only.

Helpful Hints
-use of appropriate functional language
required to show trend progression and
comparison (more/less/ increase/ decrease/
stable etc.) to achieve cohesion.
-With Comparative degree we use the word ‘than’ and the spelling is ‘thAn’
-Never say 'more better than’ it is only ‘better than’
-When we compare in a positive way it is ’as good as the other’
-And when we compare in a negative way, it is ‘not so good as the other
-And when we compare in a negative way, it is ‘not so good as’
-Use the given data and facts.
